Between Bodies are a emo/indie/punk band from Toronto, Cologne and Paderborn. Influenced by bands such as Alkaline Trio, The Gaslight Anthem or The Menzingers, the four-piece released its first EP “On Fences” in early 2020 through I Corrupt Records and KROD Records. Even under the circumstances of the pandemic, the band managed to get booked on shows and tours with bands such as IRON CHIC, PRESS CLUB, RED CITY RADIO, DEAF HAVANA and festivals like Booze Cruise, Riez Open Air, Sound of Suburbia and many more.
In 2022, Between Bodies released their first ever LP “Electric Sleep”:
“Let me be your ultrasound in the midnight hour”. Between Bodies debut LP “Electric Sleep” delivers a vigorously rousing yet wistful and deeply nostalic record on the dark side of emo. Lyrically sinister, the album lives and breathes the counterpoint of light-hearted instrumentation and gloomy imagery. With an eye on bygone days of the genre and reminiscent of bands like Alkaline Trio, Jimmy Eat World or Spanish Love Songs, the band never loses its own unique and consistent sound. With the variety of three different voices, elegantly implemented synth parts and forward-thinking riffs, “Electric Sleep” offers a worthy edition to the worlds heritage of emo/punk.”
